Built for the hot southern summer winds, this scenic route rolls along mostly quiet back roads east of I-35. Frequent stops make it easy to stay fueled and hydrated, and the control in Weir is a perfect spot to sit down and enjoy a hot meal off the grill. After Salado, the route heads through Belton and Temple on the return to Troy. Traffic picks up along this stretch, but it stays manageable as you push toward the finish.
A quick push through Temple quickly transitions into a bucolic ride. Airport Trail passes through an active cattle ranch and thus has many cattle guards to contend with. Walk over them if you are uncomfortable riding them. The cows stay away and are interesting to see so close to the city. Amy's Coffee is a wonderful place to stop and have a great brew if time permits.
A route designed with the hot southern summer winds in mind. This scenic ride follows mostly quiet back roads, with plenty of stops along the way to stay hydrated. The control in Weir is a great place to sit down and enjoy a hot meal from the grill.
Country roads with a coffee truck start, a great stop for coffee mid ride and plenty of convenience stores along the way. If the wind is out of the south you will sail home quickly on smooth roads to some craft brew, and we are not talking about coffee this time!
A hilly ride to Robinson and back via Troy. A lot of beautiful scenery and many stops available along the way.
Placeholder Route will be posted later
A backroads ride with cows, solar fields, corn, more corn and plenty of stops. Being east of I-35 the route is easy on elevation gain.
A back roads ride taking in the Maxdale cemetery, across from the alleged haunted Maxdale bridge. The ride briefly visits Georgetown before heading back north. Most of the ride traverses quiet roads. There are a few busy spots.
Beautiful ride around Waco and Waco Lake mostly on country roads
A nice ride around Lake Waco.
Amy's favorite with a start the Rodeway Hotel near I-35.
